Intro#

Bootleg Bot is the official Bootleg.fm Discord bot. Its commands can be split into two categories: fun and notification. In this short guide we'll go over each category. You can use this to add Bootleg Bot to your own server.

Fun#

Fun commands can be used by anyone, just type '/' followed by the command name. You can use the Discord popup to browse all existing commands and choose from there.

  • /top: returns the top gigs for a specified community, or for the whole platform if the 'global' variant is used.
  • /today: returns the gigs that happened on this date in previous years, for a specified community, or for the whole platform if the 'global' variant is used.
  • /random: returns a random gig for a specified community, or for the whole platform if the 'global' variant is used.
  • /leaderboard: returns the archivist leaderboard for a specified community, or for the whole platform if the 'global' variant is used.
  • /stats community: returns the overall stats for the specified community.
  • /stats user: returns the overall stats for the specified username.

There are also fun alerts. These need to be set up by a server moderator. To set these up, moderators should type /configuration and choose Edit Fun Settings from the dropdown. The current available fun settings are:

  • On-This-Date Bootleg Alert: send an alert message if there are bootlegs that happened on that date for a specified community.

Notification#

Notifications need to be set up by a server moderator. To set these up, moderators should type /configuration and choose Edit Notification Settings from the dropdown. The current available notifications are:

  • New Bootleg Submitted: every time a new bootleg is submitted for a specified community, send a notification message on the specified channel id.
